What happens: AgentSherpa presents its build plan so you can review and approve before any code is generated.

The build plan

After you approve the design, AgentSherpa creates a step-by-step plan:

  1. Create the project structure — server.py, requirements.txt, Dockerfile

  2. Implement tools — one function per tool with type hints and docstrings

  3. Add error handling — graceful failures for invalid tickers and API timeouts

  4. Test each tool — live calls against the Yahoo Finance API

  5. Verify the full server — start the server, list tools, invoke one

The agent explains each step before executing it. You can ask questions, suggest changes, or approve the plan.

Why plan before build?

In agentic development, the plan is your last checkpoint before code generation begins. It ensures:

  • You and the agent agree on the approach

  • No unnecessary tools are built

  • The agent has a clear sequence to follow (reducing hallucination)
